This is the simplest homemade Raffaello candies recipe you`ll ever try and I`m not joking as you`ll only need 3 ingredients. Even though this homemade Raffaello candies recipe is simple, tastes so good that you`ll never buy Raffaello candies and because you`ll use the condensed milk you won`t need sugar anymore which is even better.
Raffaello is a spherical truffle made with coconut and almonds. These sweets were made by the Italian manufacturer Ferrero in 1990.
This homemade recipe is very simple to make. The truffle is made up of desiccated coconut combined with condensed milk and an almond in the middle
My family simply loves it and when I`ve took some at work I had only compliments.
Ingredients
- 200g desiccated coconut
- 150g almonds or roasted almonds
- 397g condensed milk
- 100g desiccated coconut – extra
Instructions
TIP: For extra flavour roast the almonds and let it cool down it will give a better taste.
In a bowl combine the 200gr desiccated coconut with the 397gr condensed milk and mix well until is incorporated.
Leave it for about 15 minutes to rest so the coconut can absorbs the milk very well.
After 15 minutes if you think the mixture is too soft you can add an extra of 30 gr of coconut, this should harden the mixture.
Now we need to start to form the Raffaello candies, try to form a little ball, depends on how big you want to make the Raffaello candies, after put inside one almond and reshape it to cover the almond very well.
In a plate place the remaining desiccated coconut.
Pass the little ball through the desiccated coconut and place it on a plate/bowl.
Please let me know if you like the recipe and I strongly advise you to try it as you won`t regret it.
