This breaded broccoli and cauliflower recipe is very simple and healthy. Also in my opinion, is tastier than meat and is ready in few minutes with few ingredients.

I know that children usually don’t like broccoli, but prepared in this way with eggs, flour and a little bit of parmesan, they will like it. This breaded broccoli and cauliflower recipe can be eaten by vegetarians or it can be eaten as a side dish for meat, of course.

Ingredients

  • 250g broccoli
  • 250g cauliflower
  • 200g flour
  • 2 eggs
  • oil
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 – 2 teaspoons grated Parmigiano Reggiano (optional)
  • a little bit of granulated garlic (optional)
  • a little bit of paprika (optional)

Sauce ingredients

  • 240g Greek yogurt
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • some green onion, chopped
  • salt & pepper

Instructions

Cut the broccoli and the cauliflower into bunches. Wash them and boil them for 10 minutes.

Put the eggs, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix them as if you were making scrambled eggs. If you want, you can also add some grated Parmigiano Reggiano, a little bit of granule garlic or a little bit of paprika, but this are optional.

Put the flour on a plate, with some salt and pepper and mix them.

In a pan put some oil and wait to heat.

Pass the broccoli and the cauliflower through the flour and then pass them through the egg.

When the oil has heated up, you can fry the broccoli and the cauliflower until golden.

Sauce instructions

Put the Greek yogurt in a bowl, add the minced garlic, the chopped green onion, the salt and the pepper. You can add also, a little bit of olive oil and mix them all together.

TIP: The broccoli and the cauliflower go very well with the sauce, but you also eat them with Tzatziki sauce.
